Palazzo Dinner Cabaret Show: Vienna 2018/19

Glanz & Gloria [2018/19] Until March 10, 2019 Directed by the fabulous Verena Schmidt & Aitor Basauri Choreographed by Robyn Simpson This is one of my favourite shows to have worked on. It's about the eighth show I've choreographed with Palazzo since 2011 and we have a great team of people involved: including brilliant artists, superb lighting design (Marcel) and wonderful music (Holger) and costumes (Elke)... All the pieces came together to create a magical, fun show alongside award-winning chef Tony Mörwald's delectable dinner! ~If you're in Vienna, this is a ' must see '.

In the show, Robyn also choreographed work with Cornwall Youth Dance Company and members of Kneehigh Theatre Company...

The Lovepet

The Lovepet: an aerial dance poem... Choreographed by Robyn Simpson The Lovepet was created and performed with a cast of nineteen dancers, aerialists and actors. The 45-min show was inspired by the poetry of Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath. ...Delving into the highs and lows of a tumultuous relationship between poets Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath through an exploration of pivotal moments that can define a lifetime. 'He wanted a mother of halva. She wanted the hill-stream tabula rasa. He wanted the thread-end of himself. So they ransacked each other' Folktale – Ted Hughes We fall, we drop, we fly. We can reach, and be caught; sometimes we catch hold of another person; sometimes we connect, there is intimacy... Sometimes we miss each other all together.
